Questions tutors ask
Is Edvanz Tutor a platform or just an app?
It’s a full platform for private tutors. You and your assistants work in the app, students get their own accounts on the Full plan, and parents follow attendance, payments and grades on a web page. Everything stays in sync.
How do I collect payments and see who hasn’t paid?
The Payment tab shows each month at a glance: who paid, who is pro-rated and who is overdue, plus how much is left to collect. Collect by scanning the student’s QR code or searching their name, and assistants can collect too with their own cash wallet.
Can I share video lessons with my students?
Yes. You share YouTube video links (they can be unlisted) with the sessions you choose, and you see which students actually watched. The app doesn’t upload or live-stream video itself.
Can I use it as an attendance system for my sessions?
Yes. Take attendance in a few taps or scan each student’s QR code at the door, even with no internet. On a day off, cancel the day and nobody is marked absent.
Does it work for tutoring centers?
Edvanz Tutor is built for a tutor and their assistants. If you run a tutoring center and want to use Edvanz, message us and we’ll tell you what fits.
Is Edvanz Tutor free?
The app is free to download, and there is a free plan with limits. Paid plans are activated by our team after you send a request from the app or message us. You never pay inside the app.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Attendance and cash you record offline are saved on your phone and sync as soon as you’re back online. Anything still waiting shows up under “Not saved yet”, so nothing gets lost.
Do parents need to download the app?
No. Parents follow attendance, payments and grades on a web page you share with them. The parent page comes with the Full and Managerial + Parents plans.
Can my assistant use it?
Yes. Give each assistant their own account and choose what they can see and do. Cash they collect goes into their own wallet, so you always know who took what.
Which phones does it run on?
It runs on iPhone (iOS 15 or later) and Android. The app is available in Arabic and English.
